The ceremony was held indoors, surrounded by the warm glow of candlelight and the sweet fragrance of white florals. As Lizzie and Bain exchanged vows in front of a crackling fire, we couldn't help but feel all sorts of emotional.
Their first look, which took place outside and had family and friends reaching for the tissues (and hats and gloves). The look on Lizzie and Bain's faces when they first saw each other was nothing short of pure joy and adoration. And yes, we're pretty sure their love is what kept them warm in the chilly December air.
The reception was a lively celebration filled with laughter, good food, and of course, plenty of dancing. The Barn on The Pemi was transformed into a winter wonderland, complete with candles, classy floral arrangements, and a warm, cozy atmosphere.

Szeman & Jim's Wedding at State Room Boston: A Timeless Celebration of Love
On a beautiful August day in 2022, Szeman and Jim exchanged vows in front of their closest family and friends at Shrine of Our Lady of Good Voyage Boston. It was a day filled with love, laughter, and happy tears, and we were honored to be there as their wedding photographers to capture every precious moment. They chose to start the day at the Langham Hotel followed by a first look right next door at Post Office Square. After that we were able to get the majority of our portraits done at Harborwalk. Szeman looked stunning in her gorgeous Enzonani wedding gown, while Jim was dapper in his classic black tuxedo.

Following the ceremony, the newlyweds and their guests celebrated with a lively reception at State Room, with its floor-to-ceiling windows and breathtaking views of the city, the space provided the perfect backdrop for this elegant and timeless celebration. Filled with delicious food, sweet treats, and plenty of dancing. The energy in the room was electric, as friends and family cheered on the happy couple as they took to the dance floor for their first dance as husband and wife.
Throughout the day, we captured every special moment, from the first kiss as newlyweds to the last dance of the night. The photographs from Szeman and Jim's wedding are a testament to the love and joy that filled the State Room that day.

Congratulations to Amanda & Marques! This truly couldn't have been a more perfect winter wedding. All the stars aligned, I think…we couldn't really see through the snow flurries. And that made it all the more magical! They were both hoping for snow so we were so happy to see just the right amount fall on this beautiful vineyard located in Sandown NH. After postponing from last year due to Covid it is always so nice to see everything come together perfectly for such a sweet couple.

Katie & Derik chose to get ready at the beautiful Liberty Hotel in Boston with their closest friends and family as well as their two beautiful children. I absolutely love this hotel! It has a very unique style seeing that it previously served as the Charles Steet Jail for over 120 years! It still has hints of its old life such as barred windows here and there along with a lobby reminiscent of an old “cell block" combined with a modern trendy update.
Olivia & Caique's Intimate Winter Micro Wedding in Plymouth, MA
Olivia & Caique, like many couples, were originally planning a large wedding in the summer and were forced to pivot because of Covid. Instead of opting to postpone they put together a beautiful micro winter wedding with their immediate families in attendance.

Oceanview of Nahant Wedding | Melissa + John
Trying to catch up on blogging can at times be tiring...but, then I start browsing the photos from a wedding like this and I find myself sitting there with a giant smile on my face as I reflect back on the fun that we all had together. That is why photography is so important. It can quite literally bring you back to these moments, like a window to the past. Melissa and John are the definition of a power couple. Each independently awesome, but that much better as a whole. They were so genuinely kind and easy to work with. We started the day at the Hotel Salem, a new hotel in downtown Salem that is super cool! The entire place had a such a unique vibe to it. I highly recommend checking it out if you are planning a North shore wedding. Their ceremony and reception were held at The Oceanview of Nahant. One of my absolute favorite spots. If you haven't seen the renovations they have made to the already fantastic ballroom...you will be pleasantly surprised.

Congratulations to Melissa & Mark Laramee!!! This was my first time photographing a wedding at Shining Tides and it certainly did not disappoint. What a fantastic backdrop for what turned out to be an absolutely gorgeous day. By the end of our engagement session last September in Duxbury I felt we all had a great connection and I was really looking forward to capturing this special day for them.

Dena + Nick | Lynn Museum Wedding
OK, so I've been looking forward to this wedding for a long time. Let me ramble for a sec. Dena is a friend of mine since middle school. We both attended Breed Junior High in Lynn where we became good friends. When Dena reached out to tell me that she was engaged and that she knew she wanted me to capture this day for her since the moment he proposed I was so excited to capture these memories for her.

After learning more about her fiance' Nick and their story, I couldn't wait to meet him and to see what they came up with for their wedding. Being a history teacher at Lynn Classical High School, and having her father Pete involved in local politics since we were kids, it was no surprise that she chose to center her wedding around the city choosing the Lynn Museum as the setting for this fantastic evening. The wedding was filled with details highlighting the city's history and even incorporated some "fluff brownies" put together by Lynn catering company The Party Specialists.I couldn't imagine a more perfect day for Dena and Nick and I'm so happy I was there to celebrate and preserve this special day for them!
Also, Shoutout to Land of a Thousand Hills Coffee who hooked me up with a killer cheese danish as I waited for the couple to arrive for their first look. You guys are the real MVP!
Birchwood Vineyards Wedding | Tessa + Ricky
Tess and Ricky's beautiful winter wedding at Birch Wood Vineyards in Derry, NH was nothing short of spectacular. This was my first wedding of 2018 and it was absolutely perfect. They picked a winter date because Ricky LOVES the winter and was hoping for snow...It did not snow at the wedding, but...we did have a nice coating from a few days before which made for a great backdrop for their outdoor ceremony in the vineyards. Pair that with very moderate temperatures for January and the day couldn't have been better. When I first met with these two Ricky made sure to let me know that he is not a fan of photographers...and he hates having his picture taken...Needless to say..I was not nervous at all going into this ;) Luckily all we had to do was put Tessa in front of him along with his closest family and friends and he was all smiles, all day! Thanks for being so photogenic, and for choosing us to capture your special day. It was truly a pleasure :)

This was my last wedding of 2017 and I couldn't have asked for anything better! I had been looking forward to this all year. Their reception was held at St. Ann's Parish in Dorchester which was beautifully decorated for the holiday season. After the ceremony and a few epic shots of this gorgeous couple in the church, we made our way back to the Marriott for their reception. Brianne and Chris were awesome, braving the cold for a couple quick shots in sub-zero temperatures before partying the night away with their friends and family! I know they are on their way to their honeymoon, somewhere warm I'm sure, just as we are expecting a foot and a half of snow. You guys are doing life right! I'm honored to have been able to capture your day!

What a gorgeous day for a winter wedding in Salem! Michelle and Mike chose the historic Hawthorne Hotel as the backdrop for their special day. As a lifelong resident of the North Shore and former Salem resident, I am very familiar with the area but surprisingly this was my first time inside the Hawthorne Hotel.

What a gorgeous day for a winter wedding in Salem! Michelle and Mike chose the historic Hawthorne Hotel as the backdrop for their special day. As a lifelong resident of the North Shore and former Salem resident, I am very familiar with the area but surprisingly this was my first time inside the Hawthorne Hotel. Legend has it that one of the rooms is haunted, actually, one of Michelle and Mike's guests got the "Haunted Room" and didn't know it until after they checked in. The hotel has a very nostalgic and grand feel that lent itself perfectly to Michelle's vision of a Gatsby-ish themed winter wedding. Their ceremony was held at St. Anthony's in Revere, one of the most beautiful churches in the area. After the ceremony, we returned to the hotel and took a quick stroll around the commons for some great night portraits where Michelle nicely informed me that I "better blog her wedding!" LOL. I already planned on it Michelle ;) Their reception was kicked off upon our return by DJ Greg Capozzi from Czone who also provided live music to keep their guests entertained during cocktail hour. Michelle and Mike...you two were a pleasure to work with. I hope you are enjoying your honeymoon!

The home, standing atop one of the North Shore’s highest elevations, has seen many changes over the course of its 350+ years in existence but retains its historic and agricultural charm.

Emily and Eric orchestrated an absolutely beautiful wedding celebration at Peirce Farm at Witch Hill. This was my first wedding at this venue and I fell in love. The home, standing atop one of the North Shore’s highest elevations, has seen many changes over the course of its 350+ years in existence but retains its historic and agricultural charm. As one of Topsfield’s earliest homes, the foundation still includes some portion of the original 1690's farmhouse. (I googled that ;) I have photographed a ton of weddings and this was by far one of the most emotional ones I have ever been a part of. From the moment Emily arrived it was tears of joy from pretty much everyone in the building! Emily's son's Talan & Ryker were both included, Talan as a groomsman and Ryker as ring bearer. They were so cute and very excited for the wedding. As soon as Emily & Eric were announced as husband and wife, Ryker ran out of nowhere and gave his new stepdad Eric a huge hug and kiss. Such an amazing moment for this family, and I was so happy to be able to capture that for them! We could not have asked for better weather for a November wedding, everything just worked out so perfectly for this couple from their picture perfect outdoor ceremony to DJ Frank packing the floor all night long with their friends and family till the very last minute. Emily & Eric, you two are so perfect for each other. I am so happy to have met you both, and to call you friends :) Enough from me...check out these pictures...they are wicked awesome!!

Tara & Jeb, what can I say. You go together like peanut butter and jelly...or salt water taffy and York Beach! Spend two minutes with these two fantastic humans and you will love them as much as I do!

Spend two minutes with these two fantastic humans and you will love them as much as I do! I met Tara and Jeb while photographing the wedding of their friends Andrea and Paul last year in Boston's Seaport District. Tara was the officiant in this wedding. When she reached out to let me know that she was planning her own wedding I was super excited to hear more. They planned not only a spectacular wedding, but an entire wedding weekend for their guests. Tara spent many summers in York Maine at her parents home on the coast which made this location very special to her and her family. It is such a unique place. While scouting her venue the week before I drove up with my wife and we made a pact that one day we will retire in that area. I'm holding her to it. Tara and Jeb asked me to photograph their rehearsal dinner the night before their wedding. It was planned to perfection and had that nostalgic new England feel that we all love. Being there gave me a chance to get to know their family and friends and to photograph some very intimate moments between them without the hustle and bustle of the wedding day. With such a unique setting we also made sure to make use of that with some quick portraits in between the fun!
On the wedding day we began with the entire bridal party getting ready in two suites at the Union Bluff Meeting House. We did a first look with Tara and Jeb right by the edge of York beach and then hopped on a trolley to take some portraits at Nubble Lighthouse. Tara's parents home is within five minutes of the venue so after Nubble we took advantage of their gorgeous backyard for bridal party and family portraits. The reception took place at Union Bluff Meeting House which was decorated beautifully! As soon as the doors opened they were greeted by a great performance by Brick Park Band. Tara and Jeb had seen them in Boston on more than one occasion and really loved their sounds and flare. It was a great choice. They rocked out the entire night and kept the dance floor packed. Tara and Jeb I wish you both a lifetime of happiness! You are amazing people :) I hope you all enjoy reliving this special weekend.

Marina + Andy's Beautiful Fall Wedding at Cliff House Maine
Marina and I worked at Pure Energy Entertainment together for a few years. Our offices were next to each other and as coworkers, we, of course, spent a ton of time together. When Marina got engaged to Andy I was so excited for her! Then I wondered...is she gonna ask me to photograph it? I waited nervously like a high school kid hoping to be invited to prom. Then in classic Marina fashion (she's funny) instead of asking me at work...she puts an inquiry in via my website. I was excited, to say the least!
They chose Cliff House Maine as their wedding venue. When they booked the space it didn't even exist in its current form. Marina had to show me computer renderings. It is a very impressive location with sprawling cliffs of granite and endless views of the Atlantic...on a sunny day. We happened to have a VERY foggy day, but we certainly didn't let that get us down. Marina and Andy had a beautiful ceremony performed by her uncle BJ Clarke who did such a fantastic job. There were plenty of laughs and tears. More laughs than tears if my memory serves me right... Their reception was hosted by MC Mark Dixon from Pure Energy Entertainment who is the ultimate professional. If your getting married, spend five minutes on the phone with Mark. You can thank me later. They provided a gorgeous white dance floor and lighting to compliment the space. Thier guests danced the night away and kept the energy flowing! At the very end of the reception, in true Chris Connor fashion, I asked them to follow me to some rocky cliffs in the dark because I had a crazy idea...The fog had cleared and the moon made an appearance through the ribbons of clouds. We created our last portrait overlooking the venue where all the magic happened.

Being a wedding photographer at Smith Barn is an absolute dream! The rustic New England charm is undeniable. I grew up 20 minutes away and have been visiting Brooksby Farm for years! Another dream for a wedding photographer is to have a couple like Danielle & Anthony in such a fantastic space. The second you put these two together they are all smiles. They chose an intimate Thursday wedding at Smith Barn surrounded by their closest friends and family, as well as their three beautiful children. What do you do when an old friend calls and wants you to shoot their wedding....what else? You show up and crush it! I was so honored to capture this special day Eleana and her awesome husband Trooper. Eleana and the girls got ready at her parent's house in Salisbury which just happens to have the most amazing backyard ever (see bridal portraits). After that, we all met at Waterfront Park where they had a beautiful ceremony surrounded by family and friends. They chose to do a sand pouring ceremony to include Eleana's son Devin. Devin was also Trooper's best man which was so cool! Their reception was held on the Captain's Lady III. We departed during sunset which made for some fantastic portraits! Eleana & Trooper, you guys are the best! I hope you are enjoying your familymoon at Disney, and I hope you love your photos!
