Lisa + Pete…what can I say. Your wedding had all of my favorite things. An actual castle..not one of those half ass castles…a legit castle, with amazing stone work and lots of corridors that I got lost in more than once ;) An amazing group of friends and family who made the entire experience SO much fun.. and, of course, a genuinely kind couple who were really into creating amazing images.
Trying to catch up on blogging can at times be tiring...but, then I start browsing the photos from a wedding like this and I find myself sitting there with a giant smile on my face as I reflect back on the fun that we all had together. That is why photography is so important. It can quite literally bring you back to these moments, like a window to the past. Melissa and John are the definition of a power couple. Each independently awesome, but that much better as a whole. They were so genuinely kind and easy to work with. We started the day at the Hotel Salem, a new hotel in downtown Salem that is super cool! The entire place had a such a unique vibe to it. I highly recommend checking it out if you are planning a North shore wedding. Their ceremony and reception were held at The Oceanview of Nahant. One of my absolute favorite spots. If you haven't seen the renovations they have made to the already fantastic ballroom...you will be pleasantly surprised.

Congratulations to Melissa & Mark Laramee!!! This was my first time photographing a wedding at Shining Tides and it certainly did not disappoint. What a fantastic backdrop for what turned out to be an absolutely gorgeous day. By the end of our engagement session last September in Duxbury I felt we all had a great connection and I was really looking forward to capturing this special day for them.
OK, so I've been looking forward to this wedding for a long time. Let me ramble for a sec. Dena is a friend of mine since middle school. We both attended Breed Junior High in Lynn where we became good friends. When Dena reached out to tell me that she was engaged and that she knew she wanted me to capture this day for her since the moment he proposed I was so excited to capture these memories for her.
Tess and Ricky's beautiful winter wedding at Birch Wood Vineyards in Derry, NH was nothing short of spectacular. This was my first wedding of 2018 and it was absolutely perfect. They picked a winter date because Ricky LOVES the winter and was hoping for snow...It did not snow at the wedding, but...we did have a nice coating from a few days before which made for a great backdrop for their outdoor ceremony in the vineyards. Pair that with very moderate temperatures for January and the day couldn't have been better. When I first met with these two Ricky made sure to let me know that he is not a fan of photographers...and he hates having his picture taken...Needless to say..I was not nervous at all going into this ;) Luckily all we had to do was put Tessa in front of him along with his closest family and friends and he was all smiles, all day! Thanks for being so photogenic, and for choosing us to capture your special day. It was truly a pleasure :)

This was my last wedding of 2017 and I couldn't have asked for anything better! I had been looking forward to this all year. Chris, who is a Boston Police officer, proposed to Brianne at Faneuil Hall and it made the local news. As soon as they showed me the video at our meeting I was thinking two things..1. This guy is awesome, and 2. Relax man, you're making the rest of us look bad ;)
What a gorgeous day for a winter wedding in Salem! Michelle and Mike chose the historic Hawthorne Hotel as the backdrop for their special day. As a lifelong resident of the North Shore and former Salem resident, I am very familiar with the area but surprisingly this was my first time inside the Hawthorne Hotel.
Emily and Eric orchestrated an absolutely beautiful wedding celebration at Peirce Farm at Witch Hill. This was my first wedding at this venue and I fell in love. The home, standing atop one of the North Shore’s highest elevations, has seen many changes over the course of its 350+ years in existence but retains its historic and agricultural charm.
When Marina got engaged to Andy I was so excited for her! Then I wondered...is she gonna ask me to photograph it? I waited nervously like a high school kid hoping to be invited to prom. Then in classic Marina fashion (she's funny) instead of asking me at work...she puts an inquiry in via my website. I was excited, to say the least!
Pam & Kevin's beautiful wedding celebration at Hillside Country Club in Rehoboth was definitely one to remember! They planned the perfect celebration with the perfect group of family and friends. Days like this remind me why being a wedding photographer is, in my opinion, one of the greatest jobs ever
I knew from the moment I met Whitney & Alex last summer at their engagement session that this was going to be an easy day for me. I only had to ask them to look at each other and they both light up from ear to ear :) They had an absolutely spectacular wedding at The Oceanview of Nahant. It was like the stars aligned and rained down wedding greatness everywhere. From the weather and the details, to Whitney and Alex's ridiculously undeniable chemistry, I could not have asked for a better day for these two. I had a hard time picking these images. So much beauty and happiness to choose from!
Wedding season finally begins for 26 North Studios! I couldn't have asked for a better start to the season. An amazing couple at an amazing venue. Last year I shot Kayla & Adam's engagement session at Long Hill in Beverly and we had such a great time together. I was really looking forward to this wedding!
Adam & Kayla got ready at the Hilton Garden Inn Boston Logan Airport which is a great spot for anyone getting married in Nahant, very quick drive and the hotel itself was very clean and modern. Upon arrival, we walked into Adam and his groomsman playing beer pong...pure awesomeness! Nothing makes you realize how much easier it is to be a guy sometimes than bouncing back and forth between the bride and grooms rooms before a wedding! Kayla was easily one of the most relaxed brides ever. So calm and collected even with a good chance of rain in the forecast! #dreambride
The Oceanview of Nahant, as always, made everything run as smooth as buttermilk pancakes :) The property looked fantastic and the cool ocean breeze was ummmm...let's go with "energizing" ;) Dj Tommy Sheehan kept the dance floor packed and the energy high!
Thank you so much for choosing 26 North Studios to capture your special day! Myself, Catherine and Matt loved working with you!
We started our morning at Temple Beth Shalom in Needham where Sydney's service was held. I had met the Oriel family before and have even photographed friends of theirs events, so I already knew they were a good time, and they were even more fun than I could have imagined. This little firecracker showed up with a broken leg, but not a broken spirit! She did not let that blinged out boot stop her from having the time of her life and It did not slow her down for a second on the dance floor. It is always so much fun to work with a kid who just loves to "turn it on", and that is Sydney all day long. She made sure to tell me when arriving that she "LOOOVEEES PICTURES"! Her siblings Alexa and Jake were the most adorable things ever and made sure to hop into as many pictures as possible.
