Pam & Kevin's beautiful wedding celebration at Hillside Country Club in Rehoboth was definitely one to remember! They planned the perfect celebration with the perfect group of family and friends. Days like this remind me why being a wedding photographer is, in my opinion, one of the greatest jobs ever. Hanging with this group was so much fun from the moment I arrived at the ridiculously beautiful suite that Pam and the girls had, until the very end. They were so into making fun photographs, and the emotion that ran strong throughout the day was really touching to capture. Pam & Kevin were a couple of the unlucky...(or lucky!?) passengers to be stuck at sea during hurricane Irma while returning from their honeymoon. I am so excited to share the photos with you now that you are home safe! A special thank you to my friend Robert Castagna for capturing this wedding with me!

Brooke and Christopher planned and executed the perfect wedding with their closest friends and family at the gorgeous Chamberlain Farms. I love weddings that really stay true to the personalities of their hosts, and anybody that knows Brooke and Chris knows that this was 100% them. Brooke put so much thought and effort into the decor and overall vibe for this day with small details everywhere you looked. Handmade wooden signs throughout the entire reception, beautiful bouquets made from paper for the bridal party as well as decorating the aisle. Chris even handmade a giant Jenga and Connect Four for his guests to play in the bar area. So cool! Chris' brother Jason (Sherriff Jason, I think he should be available for hire) performed the ceremony and did such a great job. His brother Michael was by his side as his best man. We were hit with thunderstorms but you would never know based on the photos, except, of course, the EPIC rain shot at the end of the post :) They didn't for a second let it put a damper on their big day!

What an amazing day! Emily and Andy had a gorgeous Pine Brook Country club wedding with beautiful sunflower themed decor to tie everything together. This wedding was the rare case where I had never met the bride or groom until the day of the wedding as they both lived out of state during the planning stage. My good friends from Siagel Productions did a fantastic job making sure that this couple did not have to worry about a thing...just show up and look beautiful! Even though we had never met, they were so approachable and great to photograph. Just have them look at each other and they both light right up! Emily and Andy decided to forego the exchange of rings and instead chose to exchange watches! very cool idea! Their friends and family were so much fun, delivering, what I believe, was the longest conga line ever at a wedding and a really great Hora with everyone involved. Emily and Andy, Congrats! I wish you both the very best and hope you love the photos :)

Kelli & Jon's Danversport Yacht Club Wedding - I met Kelli and Jon a couple years ago while photographing their friend's wedding! Kelli was a bridesmaid. I was so happy to hear from her when they began planning a wedding of their own and was very excited to capture her big day!

It's always nice to return Danversport Yacht Club as a wedding photographer. The recently renovated Garden Terrace room is a beautiful space with fantastic views of the harbor. And the outdoor ceremony space, only steps away, lends itself to so many great photo opportunities.
I met Kelli and Jon a couple years ago while photographing their friend's wedding! Kelli was a bridesmaid. I was so happy to hear from her when they began planning a wedding of their own and was very excited to capture her big day!
Kelli and the girls got ready in Beverly at her friend Kate's house. I did Kate's wedding a couple years back, so it was awesome to see so many familiar faces in the bridal party and to see pics of their baby boy! When we heard an ice cream truck passing by Kate ran outside to stop him for a fun photo op! From there we headed over to Danversport Yacht Club for their ceremony in the Garden Terrace. It was a really touching ceremony that went off without a hitch. They hired a live musician for the ceremony as well as the cocktail hour who was really amazing! It's a really great idea for someone looking to incorporate a live entertainment aspect without having to break the bank for a full band.
As soon as we finished up with family photos we began our bride and groom portraits. After about 3 minutes it began to rain :( Kelli and Jon were good sports and allowed me to pull them out of the reception a couple of times to create some really cool night portraits. Nikki & Jim's beautiful wedding at Wedgewood Pines Country Club in Stow,Ma is now on the blog!
Last fall I had the pleasure of photographing Nikki & Jim for their engagement session at their home in Belmont. Their quirky and fun personalities seemed to match up perfectly and made for a very easy photo session! Their home has been owned by Nikki's family for generations which made it that much more special to her. She decided to get ready for her wedding in this home as well which I thought was perfect! To be able to look back and remember these amazing memories in the home that your family grew up in, and that you and your husband share together is so cool! Nikki and the girls were so awesome to hang out with, and chatting with her father about how fast children grow, up and watching his reaction to seeing Nikki for the first time is something I won't soon forget.
Thier ceremony was held in Lexington at Church of St. Brigid. This church means a lot to Jim and his family. You will see a purple banner hung at the altar in memory of Jim's grandmother. Jim even coaches a couple of the altar boys! Such a great connection.
Their reception was held at Wedgewood Pines Country Club in Stow. The decor and overall ambiance at this venue were beautiful! Their event coordinator Trish was very helpful, and when she told Jim and I that we could take the golf carts to go get some photos we were pumped... the only problem was, I had no idea how to drive one! Thanks for the tips Jim! DJ Angel T from Pure Energy Entertainment absolutely killed it!! The dance floor was packed all night long. One of the guests even walked up to Angel and said "I just need to tell you, I've been watching you from my table all night long and your energy Is just so much fun to watch" Great job Angel!

I only had to ask them to look at each other and they both light up from ear to ear :) They had an absolutely spectacular wedding at The Oceanview of Nahant. It was like the stars aligned and rained down wedding greatness everywhere. From the weather and the details, to Whitney and Alex's ridiculously undeniable chemistry, I could not have asked for a better day for these two. I had a hard time picking these images. So much beauty and happiness to choose from!

Wedding season finally begins for 26 North Studios! I couldn't have asked for a better start to the season. An amazing couple at an amazing venue. Last year I shot Kayla & Adam's engagement session at Long Hill in Beverly and we had such a great time together. I was really looking forward to this wedding!
Adam & Kayla got ready at the Hilton Garden Inn Boston Logan Airport which is a great spot for anyone getting married in Nahant, very quick drive and the hotel itself was very clean and modern. Upon arrival, we walked into Adam and his groomsman playing beer pong...pure awesomeness! Nothing makes you realize how much easier it is to be a guy sometimes than bouncing back and forth between the bride and grooms rooms before a wedding! Kayla was easily one of the most relaxed brides ever. So calm and collected even with a good chance of rain in the forecast! #dreambride
The Oceanview of Nahant, as always, made everything run as smooth as buttermilk pancakes :) The property looked fantastic and the cool ocean breeze was ummmm...let's go with "energizing" ;) Dj Tommy Sheehan kept the dance floor packed and the energy high!

It is always so much fun to work with a kid who just loves to "turn it on", and that is Sydney all day long. She made sure to tell me when arriving that she "LOOOVEEES PICTURES"! Her siblings Alexa and Jake were the most adorable things ever and made sure to hop into as many pictures as possible.

The celebration for Miss Sydney and her amazing friends and family took place at The Verve in Natick. This is a fantastic venue with lots of character. It has a cool modern/retro lobby that makes for a good photo op. It also has a few cool spots such as an old school phone booth, some vintage barber chairs, and a few other hidden gems.
Johnny K from Pure Energy Entertainment and the rest of his team were on fire and kept the energy at peak level all night long. Lauren Loomis Brodie from Lauren Loomis Events delivered, as always, a fantastic room design. I would highly recommend both of these vendors for any event! The most important part of planning an event is creating the ultimate guest list...after that, a team that you trust to perform flawlessly so that you are able to sit back and be a guest at your own event!

"View. Food. Fun. Love" That is their mantra. Let's break that down and see how they hit their marks.
The View
Offering gorgeous unobstructed views of the Atlantic ocean from both the ceremony space as well as the ballroom and lounge, it doesn't get any better than this! Take a very short walk to find views of the Boston skyline across the harbor. When the sun sets behind the Oceanview, we get some amazing color in the sky over the beach which is a breathtaking background for your formal photographs! The ballroom is a perfect blend of nautical charm without it appearing overdone or cheesy. The beautiful LED lighting accenting the soffit, bar, and lobby helps the venue feel modern and adds a nice pop of color to photos. As if this wasn't enough, in the fall the moon actually rises right from the skyline of the harbor, reflecting on the ocean just beyond the deck.
The Food
Being in the event industry for nearly ten years I have had my fair share of "wedding food" from venues all over New England. I can assure you that the Oceanview of Nahant excels in this area. Their head chef Ken Rothwell and his entire team are meticulous with their attention to detail. When working at the Oceanview I know I'm in for a good meal. The owner will constantly ask me how the food is. They are really on top of quality control which is refreshing to see. Try the short ribs and thank me later!
The Fun
Ok. How does a venue promote fun? I mean, It's just a space, right? Don't you bring the fun? Yes, and no. When the Oceanview was purchased a few years ago by Mike and Brenda Gallant, they brought with them a background in the DJ and Entertainment industry. They are always adding things to create a fun atmosphere for their guests. Here are just a couple things I have seen them offer that are really fun.
Ice cream truck - What does an Ice Cream truck and a wedding have in common? Nothing! But treating your guests to a cool treat on a hot summer day is a something that you will not see anywhere else. Your guests will love it!
Last dance on the beach - The Oceanview had a small custom wooden dance floor for two built. You have the option to have your last dance on the beach overlooking the ocean. Add sparklers, and you have the perfect last dance!
S'mores by the fire pits - After your last dance on the beach, the Oceanview offers the option to invite your guests to hang by their beachfront fire pits to make S'mores. There is also a cash bar available for this addition. Personally, I wish I had something like this at my weddings. It goes by so fast and to have the option to have that extra time to socialize with guests in a relaxed environment is very cool.
The Love
What is love? It's a feeling, right? Like the air we breathe, you may not be able to see it; but you know it's there. And It feels good. That is the feeling you get walking into the Oceanview. I hear the same story from so many couples. From the second they walked in and were greeted at the front door, they felt like they were in good hands and fell in love with the property. The Oceanview team has created a culture of LOVE at their venue. In a business that revolves around love and romance, it is great to see a group of people who embrace this and understand why we all do what we do for a living. Love.

Loon Pond Lodge at Ted Williams Camp Wedding | Colleen + Thomas
Summer Wedding at Loon Pond Lakeville
This past summer I had the chance to photograph my first Loon Pond Lodge at Ted Williams Camp wedding. I had not heard of this venue prior to this wedding but after spending the day there I can tell you it's definitely a hidden gem! It is located right on Loon Pond in Lakeville,Ma which is very private and secluded with plenty of parking. The gazebo with the beautiful Loon Pond backdrop was a fantastic spot for their ceremony, it also became a nice hangout for guests looking to catch their breath after working up a sweat on the dance floor. The reception space is rustic yet clean, and very spacious. At the end of the night they even have a massive fire-pit where guests were able to make s'mores!
Tommy used to be a DJ so of course he wanted the very best for his wedding day. They hired DJ Angel Torres from Pure Energy Entertainment who delivered in every way possible.
Tommy and Colleen were so fun to work with and really helped push my creativity with Tommy's one and only photo request. He wanted a T-Rex to chase himself and his groomsman from the woods! I think we nailed it!
Colleen & Tommy took care of all the decor at their wedding and did a fantastic job! This awesome table card holder made the prefect prop to hold the rings for a cool ring shot later in the evening!
At the end of the evening friends and family gathered by the fire-pit to make s'mores and hangout. While packing up I remembered that I had some sparklers in my car. I walked back with a package of sparklers and a plan. This was the last image we created that night.

Having previously seen Chris’ work from a summer 2015 wedding I attended, my now wife Colleen and I knew he was the only choice for our wedding. Sweet Larry Bird’s mustache did we make the right choice! He was so easy to work with in the months leading up to the wedding. He offered great ideas and was always helpful and respectful of our desires for the big day. Dude is a true artists! Now that the wedding is over, Colleen and I have been reliving the night in our heads, but thankfully, we have an insane amount of INCREDIBLE photos, courtesy of Chris and 26 North Studios!

Saphire Estate Wedding | Jenna + Nick
Beautiful Lakeside Wedding at Saphire Estate in Sharon
I love fall weddings! I also love Jenna and Nick! From the moment I met them I was super excited to shoot their wedding. They absolutely loved my work and just let me do my thing which always makes for a fun day! Jenna and Nick also booked my good friend DJ Mark Dixon from Pure Entertainment. Any time you have Mark at a wedding you know it is going to be a good time. This was my first Saphire Estate wedding. I have worked at their sister property The Villa in East Bridgewater and they are both gorgeous properties run by very accommodating staff. And the food is good. Bonus!
As soon as I arrived it started raining. Jenna was so laid back about the situation and basically said "as long as it is not pouring we are going outside". I love that attitude! Don't let a little sprinkle ruin your outdoor ceremony! The rain actually cleared up just in time and the staff at Saphire Estate actually busted out some leaf blowers to quickly clear the ceremony space of excess water which was amazing. We started a few minutes late but everything worked out perfectly! We even managed to catch a small glimpse of the sunset over Lake Massapoag before heading in to join the reception. Once inside DJ Mark Dixon did what he does best and rocked Jenna and Nick's guests from start to finish! I wish you both the very best! Keep on being awesome!
Charlie's Bar Mitzvah Temple Israel Boston
This past weekend I had the pleasure of photographing Charlie's Bar Mitzvah at the beautiful Temple Israel Boston. When I first spoke with Charlie's mom Barb, she told me the story of how a couple of years ago her other son Max's Bar Mitzvah party happened to get snowed out which made the day very difficult. I explained what we would do in that situation, and we both laughed thinking "what are the chances of that happening again!" Well, mother nature seems to have a sense of humor and decided to let it snow for Charlie's Bar Mitzvah as well. Lucky for us, it happened to be just enough to create a beautiful winter wonderland feel but still allowed for their guest to make it!

Charlie had a morning service which left me with a 4.5-hour gap between the service and celebration where I had nothing to do! My good friend Deb from S&H Events was kind enough to invite me to hang with her family who lives 5 minutes from the temple.
Once we arrived at Temple Israel, it was great to see the room totally transformed. Charlie's mom did a fantastic job with the centerpieces and decor elements! Catering was provided by Swartz Catering who always does an incredible job. The short ribs are soooooo good!! Keith Levine from Press Play Entertainment did a great job with the task of managing a crowd of roughly 40 boys and kept them engaged all night. When they were not on the dance floor, they kept busy playing foosball, arcade basketball, and three-way air hockey provided by Creative Event Services.

Kristina & Matt Chitro were married at the gorgeous Oceanview of Nahant on October 14, 2016. From the moment I met these two I knew it was going to be a fantastic wedding. Partly because they were a young couple into good music with friends that like to party, but also because they decided to hire Johnny K from Pure Energy Entertainment for their DJ.
We started the day together at the Four Points Sheraton in Wakefield which happens to be next door to my house (score!) She had the suite on the top floor which was fantastic for photos! We did the first look with Kristina's father, and it was such a touching moment. There wasn't a dry eye in the house.
From there we headed to the Oceanview of Nahant where Kristina & Matt tied the knot on their beautiful Beach Stone Terrace. The Oceanview added this to their property very recently, and it has been a HUGE success with their couples. I really love this new space. It is only steps away from the ballroom and bridal suite making everything flow very smoothly! After the ceremony, we lucked out, and the moon rose right over the Atlantic making a spectacular backdrop for their portraits.
When the DJ started introductions, my belief that this was going to be an insanely fun wedding was confirmed. When Kristina & Matt entered the room, their friends and family gave them a super energetic welcome!

One snowy afternoon, Jessalyn walked into a local gym called Strength Discovery to learn more about personal training and met the man of her dreams. David, who owns this gym located in Revere, Massachusetts can describe the day like it just happened. Their eyes meeting for the first time, how they both started to stutter over their own words, and how they talked for over an hour like they had been best friends forever.

One snowy afternoon, Jessalyn walked into a local gym called Strength Discovery to learn more about personal training and met the man of her dreams. David and Jessalyn live a very active lifestyle, and enjoy working out together. They love to make people smile with their matching gym outfits and leggings, which is what inspired their guest book (a 15 lb weighted plate from their gym)
When sitting down with the staff at The Oceanview of Nahant, wedding cake flavors came up during their planning. Jessalyn mentioned how her favorite cake is one with a cannoli filling, and The Oceanview recommended D’Amici’s Bakery in Lynn. They were able to stack delicious cannoli’s using four different fillings to create their non-traditional wedding cake. Wonder Woman and Captain America are two of their favorite characters, and they were able to find a company named Uniquecaketopper on Etsy that custom made their cake topper the focal point of their cake, and made their inner superheroes come to life.
David and Jessalyn described their experience with The Oceanview as a Nautical 20th century fairytale come to life. These newlyweds knew they picked the right place to be married the moment they arrived for their first look of the venue, and saw their personalized welcome sign hanging on the door. The Oceanview offered a breathtaking nautical backdrop when they exchanged vows outside on the newly designed Beach Stone Terrace.
The Oceanview also went above and beyond to help this romantic couple surprise each other on their wedding day. David is a Marine Veteran, so they both decided it would only be fitting to fly the Marine Corps Flag and the American Flag during their July 2ndwedding, but what Jessalyn didn't know was that David also custom made a flag for her. This flag contained their new initials on top of their gym colors and he presented it to her during their ceremony, and raised it next to his Marine flags at the end of the ceremony and they all flew high together during the reception.
When this couple moved in together, he bought her an orchid plant to symbolize the start of their life together. Since then, it has become their flower. They decided to order their bouquets and corsages from Balloonatics in Saugus, but what Jessalyn didn't know was that after ordering their flowers together, David went back to order additional orchids to be spread across all of their guest’s tables. The Nahant Oceanview kept this secret from Jessalyn and when she walked into her venue on her wedding day she saw a room adorned with orchids and realized how special the man she just married really was.
Jessalyn also had a surprise of her own. Even the fittest couple has their kryptonite, and David’s was chocolate frosted and glazed donuts from Kane’s Donuts in Saugus. With the help of her 7th grade math students and the staff at The Oceanview, she was able to design a groomsman cake out of these donuts. Knowing that David would love an American Flag touch, she was able to find a large American Flag wooden pallet to display them on. You can imagine the smile that swept across David’s face when he saw his favorite doughnuts at his wedding presented to him by his bride.
With the help of The Oceanview staff and carefully picked vendors, this couple planned a detailed wedding in less than 68 days.
